Who Attends?
Attendees include Qualified Intermediaries (QIs), their primary tax and legal counsel, and affiliated industries (TIC sponsors, banks, real estate brokers, title companies, settlement/escrow agents, etc.). Both FEA members and non-members are encouraged to participate in the FEA Annual Conference.
Conference Content
Past conference sessions have covered topics such as:
- Alternatives to foreclosure
- Exchanges of intellectual property, mineral interest in land, or royalty rights in oil and gas
- Tax controversy and litigation issues
- Non-safe harbor exchanges and parking arrangements.
Earn Credit
Annual Conference attendees can earn continuing education credit hours for a number of professional specialties, including legal and the Certified Exchange Specialist (CES®) designation.
The FEA CES® Council has approved the 2011 Annual Conference for a maximum of 13 hours CES® continuing education credit. Two of the sessions are worth one hour each of ethics credit.
The 2011 Annual Conference has been approved for MCLE credit in 18 states. View this list for States and total credit available.
